Today was the standard First Day in Honolulu — we spent half the day at Pearl Harbor.We got an early start, hitting the Surf Room at the Royal Hawaiian for breakfast buffet at just about seven. We had a table right by the beach, and while we ate, we watched the sun rise over [...]

Right now in Cleveland, it’s already tomorrow.Our ride arrived about 20 minutes early. Luckily we were pretty much ready to go at that point, so we threw all of our bags into the towncar, said goodbye to Pixel, and we were off through the snow to the airport!

We’re packed and ready to rock. The car that’s taking us to the airport should be here within the next half hour. Planes are all running on time (or so sayeth the web). I will be sure to take lots of pictures, and update y’all upon our return.

I’ve been busy running around lately, taking care of pre-Christmas and pre-travel errands. Sorry for the scarcity of posts.Liz’s friend (and I guess mine now too, so there!) Don came to visit on Sunday. For dinner, we ate:

chicken with lemon and capers in a white wine sauce
steamed broccoli drizzled with lemon infused olive [...]

All in all, a most wondeful day!

Hang out with gieves on her radio show (ulp! and help out on air! Whee!) — done! (And a pretty good show, I think!)

I think that Gary Coleman should star as Bilbo Baggins in a made-for-TV adaptation of The Hobbit. But with such a massive star on board, the project needs a newer, more up-to-date title, yet at the same time something that harkens back to our nostalgiac memories of yesteryear, something like:
“Whatchoo Tolkien ‘Bout, Gandalf??”
